Triathletes will discover Triathlon de Portocolom and Let’s Tri Series at the Triathlon Show 2014 in London

The Triathlon Internacional de Portocolom, to be host in Portocolom –Mallorca on April 13rd and recently awarded as the the “Best Triathlon race of 2013” by the Balearic triathletes and the regional Triathlon Federation, and the innovative Let’s Tri duathlon and triathlon series (Alcudia Duathlon on March 22nd and Pollença Triathlon on September 6th), will be present at the Triathlon Show 2014 in London from February 28th to March 2nd. British athletes will discover these high quality events really well connected by airplane to the rest of Europe, with fantastic weather conditions all year long and the best spots for racing and training.

Triathlon Internacional de Portocolom and Let’s Tri Series will be showcasing their high quality triathlon and duathlon events in the Balearic Islands (Spain) at the Triathlon Show 2014 in London, from February 28th to March 2nd. Visitors to the Triathlon Show will be able to get all the information about Triathlon de Portocolom on April 13rd, awarded as the “Best Triathlon Race of 2013” by the Balearic Federation and local triathletes, and Let’s Tri Series with the Alcudia Duathlon on March 22nd and Pollença Triathlon on September 6th. Moreover, Kumulus’ crew ­–the local company organizer of these events, will explain the best options to travel to Mallorca, where to stay and train, and how to spend some great tri-days in Mallorca.

TRIATHLON DE PORTOCOLOM

Next edition of the Triathlon Portocolom is on April 13rd, 2014 in Portocolom, Mallorca, and the registrations for the competitions over 55.5 and 111km are already open. More than 700 athletes enjoyed the 2013 edition and the number of participants in 2014 will be limited to 800 to secure perfect conditions for the athletes and the spectacular and tough double bike ascent to Sant Salvador. Triathlon Internacional de Portocolom is one of the earliest triathlon races in Europe again in 2014. Portocolom hosts the 17th edition of this successful and one of the best liked event in Spain under the 55 and 111 format (1km swimming, 100km cycling and 10km running). The registrations for Triathlon Portocolom 2014 are officially open on www.triathlonportocolom.com and there will be a limit for the participants: only the first 800 athletes may sign up (400 slots for each race).

Portocolom is a especially pleasant spot to start training and racing in Europe due to its nice weather in April, and Mallorca has great flight connections to the main Euroean cities. Last year, athletes from 16 different countries came to race and enjoyed a demanding bike segment after a short swim leg in the Mediterranean sea. The competition will be held in the in the spectacular Portocolom Club Nautic.

LET’S TRI SERIES

Let’s Tri is the brand new triathlon and duathlon series in Mallorca, and offers all kind of athletes a new approach to the Triathlon sport in the Balearic Islands, full of fun and perfect for all skills/levels, from beginners to top endurance triathletes, the whole year round. These high-quality events are located in the most astonishing spots in Mallorca throughout the whole year.

Let’s Tri unveils Alcudia Olympic Duathlon on March 22nd and Pollença Triathlon on September 6th. Let’s Tri Alcudia Duathlon is the perfect event to start the season with its 10km run, 40km bike and 5km run, with many international triathletes enjoying training camps and stages in this nice village.

Let’s Tri Pollença will be hosted in the village of Pollença, located in the north of Mallorca, probably the most beautiful nature area of this island. This is a perfect venue for a demanding bike course, similar to that of the Ironman 70.3 Mallorca: 56km cycling leg around Pollença, Lluc, Selva, Campanet, Pollença… Before the bike segment, athletes have to swim 1.9 km in the scenic Mediterranan sea, close to the port. The run course is a tough one, with some kms ideal for trail running and a hilly profile to the spectacular finish line in this picturesque village.
